Manchester United battled back twice to earn a creditable point following an ill-tempered 2-2 draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Anthony Martial cancelled out Shkodran Mustafi’s opener in the first half and Jesse Lingard levelled the match after the break, less than a minute after Alexandre Lacazette had restored the visitors’ advantage, capitalising on a mistake from Marcos Rojo.

Rojo, making his first appearance of the season, was one of six players to be booked by Andre Marriner during a frenetic contest, low on quality but full of incident.

Jose Mourinho opted to wait until the 73rd minute to introduce Fellaini from the bench at the expense of Rojo and he quickly picked up where the Argentine left off.

Unable to cope with Guendouzi’s speed across the turf, Fellaini opted to take matters into his own hands, grabbing a chunk of the teenager’s hair and yanking him to the ground.
